After winning $110 reluctantly over mahjong table at our new gambling den(see, I had to rush home to prepare for an interview, as well as popping my antibiotics), I was on the cab, talking to my adorable baby who called me Mama over the phone.
I opened the mailbox, and found the letter sitting there.
I casually told my mum, “I have good news. The appeal came in and it’s successful.”

I wrote a very touching letter that was then forwarded from immigration to Ministry of Manpower.
Then the reality hit me and I don’t quite fancy it very much.
After years of staying by myself, I have to get used to being nagged, and the high possibilities of having my bag/cabinets/room searched.
I don’t like to have my privacy invaded, and I always blow up at my mum for doing that. Yet, for years, she NEVER stops doing that.
I am apprehensive about staying with her again, knowing how explosive this mother-daughter thing can be.
Yet, I am looking forward to have a nice home-cooked meal waiting for me, and an awesome baby smiling at me when I reach home.
That is good news. Cos I will see so much of Minibean, and the house will become a home again.
Sigh. But that means I will definitely be a celibated spinster for a long, long while.
I am even contemplating about renting a place once I have a job.
I am so scared of my own mother man.

I was up at 8am today.
Because I was drunk(AGAIN!) last night, and I got home very tipsy.
PKB was very nice to send me home and I gave him a hug for taking such good care of me. He let me held his arm, reclined the seat, and covered my very cold self with a jacket. So sweet right?
And all because….?
I got drunk on… ONE BEER.
Yes baby. I finally finished my first bottle of beer for the first time in my life. Asahi, you are my hero.
PKB picked me up from my place despite my reluctance to head out of home(barely 4 hours of sleep, so tired!), and we joined the rest of the guys at Holland Village.
I even insisted on visiting the doctor(very good move cos my infection gotten much worse), and the journey from Breko’s to the clinic took me 4 rests before I finally got there.
The 2 guys with me were bemused. Cos they never believed anyone could get drunk on ONE beer.
I was giggling, spewing nonsense, and terribly giddy from the alcohol.
They were laughing all the way to the clinic in disbelief. How nice.
In fact they were worried I would be thrown out by the doctor cos the doctor might think I was just trying to be funny since I was drunk.
But doctor was so understanding!
And I even had to do an urine test. Thanks guys for being such lovely people…
And happy birthday to Babyface!
Medical bill was freaking expensive
I had fun though, definitely! What an achievement!
One beer!
Yay!
And I didn’t snog anybody!
And Jeremy… thanks for being such an awesome friend by pushing me out of my comfort zone. If I was not sleeping, I would have sent you off definitely.

And after my previous longass post, I ended up sleeping from 7.45 pm to 9.45am.
I woke up and confined myself to my laptop in the living room and I actually sat there till 6.45pm to finish work!
OMG.
I feel so productive and amazing.
PKB picked me up and we headed down to FF’s place to play mahjong, before he drove us to JD’s place to meet her new housemate.
I didn’t win a single round of mahjong throughout!
Until SDB joined us at JD’s place and I made the mahjong-virgin take my place as I threw the cards.
Oh. And we won!
And then, I made the housemate took my place, and I went from $100 down and recouped more than half of it.
At the end of the night, my loss was only 20 bucks.
SDB sent FF home and then gave me a lift home too.
So sweet.Â

I got productive today, running errands for work, though drenching myself in the rain wasn’t exactly what I had expected.
I was in Orchard and then Bras Brasah and then to Alexandra.
I then visited SDB’s grandma since I was pretty nearby the hospital. Such a lovely granny who has such amazing sense of humour. Though I was like a complete bimbo at a loss for words.
I then realise how much the hospital had seen me through.
My dad’s heart attack. My ENT problems. My pre-cancerous cells surgery. My corrective surgery. My ex-boyfriend accident. And most importantly, my labour. And Minibean’s PD.
One nurse even stopped in her tracks for me to coo over a newborn.
I walked past the corridor where JD and FF waited in the middle of the night.
SDB dropped me off at FF’s before I indulged in a game of mahjong and called it a night pretty swiftly.
Oh well.
I am still reeling from the news that my mum is going to be here every week.
Boohoo.
